Analytics Supplementation

The Red Fox Group has substantial experience in assisting the market research industry with data, analytics and demographic and geographic insights.

Here’s how we can help.

  • Construction of sample frames and weights

We can do this for any area and any variable, but especially for non-standard geographies and unusual demographics.

We can convert any lines on a map to Australian standard geography – even if it’s a hand-drawn sketch!

We can then help you construct the most representative possible sample and weight the data to whatever variables you need – age, gender, level of education, any measure of cultural diversity, almost anything you can think of.

This can be done for every corner of Australia.

  • Geographical analysis and mapping of responses

We can help identify the most meaningful geographic areas to analyse your results by, and assist in displaying them visually.

We can even display individual responses on a map.

  • Advanced statistical analysis

We can use statistical methods to help you tease out the deeper relationships at work in your response data.

Your crosstabs might show that renters and young people are your clients’ biggest supporters. But is that happening because the pattern is driven by young people and most young people are renters? Or is it that support is most intense among renters, and renters skew young? We can tell you the answer.

  • Cluster analysis

What main groups are there amongst your respondents? How many groups and how big are they? What do they look like, how do they behave and what do they think about your client?

Cluster analysis and similar statistical techniques can tell you the answer.

  • Factor analysis

Market researchers will often ask large banks of questions trying to tease out shades of difference, such as whether you’re a fan of different sports or prefer to buy particular products. But sometimes it can be helpful to condense all those responses down to “factors” that can be further analysed – like “sports fan”, “homebody”, “petrolhead”.

We can help identify the factors underlying your data and line that up against demographics, geography and anything else you like.
